Relationships
The most important person in his life, bar none. For years the demands of an unforgiving job and unsympathetic employer kept Maximus away from home, and his son, more often than either of them ever wanted. Now, even the less than ideal circumstances of their impromptu road trip couldn't dull how happy Comet is to get to be with him day in and day out. He is desperate to earn his father's love and approval, unaware that he's had both from the moment he was born.
The demon that fed Comet his blood when Maximus made a pact to save his dying infant son's life. In his defense, Ludovico hadn't known that doing that would turn the boy into a demi-incubus as an adult. They've gotten along swimmingly ever since their reunion, and they cause Maximus plenty of headaches with their antics.
Eunchae - Mother (deceased)
Comet knows his mother only by the stories that Maximus shares of her. He hopes that his father loves him as much as he loved his best friend. He doesn't like to think about it, though.

His son fell deathly ill after Eunchae died, and the thought of losing his baby so soon after losing his best friend was too much for him to bear. In his desperation he summoned a demon that, in exchange for saving Comet's life, had Maximus give up his ability to the words "I love you" to him. Ever since then Maximus has done everything he can to make sure that Comet knows just how precious he is to him- unfortunately, the demands of his work for the church get in the way the way the older Comet gets. Maximus doesn't think he'll ever be able to give Comet the life he deserves, but he'll spend the rest of days trying.
Maximus is less than thrilled to come across this demon again- even though he saved Comet's life all those years ago, it would've spared them a lot of grief if it hadn't been an incubus to do the job. Were it not for how well he and Comet get along, Maximus would have even less patience for his antics (and his inability recall the exact location of the Hellmouth they're trying to find) than he already does.
Eunchae - Wife, best friend (deceased)
His best friend from the moment they met as children. As a child, he always wished Eunchae could stay forever with him and his grandfather. Despite wishing the circumstances of their marriage could've been different, as an adult he wanted nothing more than to stay by her side and raise their baby together. Comet is all he has left of her.
